Molluscum contagiosum is a common skin disease caused by a virus that affects the top layers of the skin.
Description
The name molluscum contagiosum implies the virus growth that spreads by skin contact. Like warts, this virus belongs to the Poxvirus family and enters the skin through small breaks of hair follicles. It does not affect any internal organs. Doctors advise treating molluscum because the growths spread from one area to another. They have been treated in similar ways Like- warts removal.
They can be-
- 1.) Frozen with liquid
- 2.) Destroyed with various acids or blistering solutions,
- 3.) Treated with Electrocautery, or
- 4.) Laser Therapy Treatment
